Exactly what the Android rep said to the Microsoft sales guy about putting Windows mobile on Android smartphones.

Hmm, maybe Sarah has a soul after all, and others were right to say Piotr wasn’t sold either. Here are the links, apparently some felt I was inflammatory at Prickly City and needed to take a break a get a life. Politics as a bloodsport was my favorite avocation for fifteen years, and I really hate it when someone gets basic facts so horribly wrong. But, since I avoid politics ususally, and never go to political cartoons…

Price of eggs, by JennerTo the tune of Blue Jay Way by George Harrison There’s a secret in your landsAnd there’s blood upon your handsSaid I need to make a choice. Now it’s time to hear my voice.I don’t belongYou know I’ll never belongI don’t belong.I tell you I don’t buy it.It’s a frozen-hearted groupTelling me to join the coop. There’s no myst’ry in your tour. And my mind’s made up for sure. I don’t belongYou know I’ll never belongI don’t belong.I tell you I don’t buy it.Now it’s past it and beyondAnd you’re staring at your pond.Sitting down, I rest my legs.Talk about the price of eggs. I don’t belongYou know I’ll never belongI don’t belong.I tell you I don’t buy it.

Poor Piotr. He did his best, but you can’t work up any real enthusiasm for something you lost faith in long ago.

It seems to have been forgotten, at least ‘round here, just where Jim and Sarah were coming from—-they were Topsiders, and it’s possible they’re also directly responsible for things much worse than what’s going on in Reptilianville. Maybe they’ll turn out like Linda Kowalski, wracked with guilt as they realize what they’ve done…but, so far, they haven’t shown much of it, if any.#

Sarah may just not be in love with the idea behind this community…it doesn’t mean that she won’t yet fall in with it and go along to get along…

Well, that was a hard jerk in the opposite direction..Originally, I was thinking that Piotr was disillusioned, but it didn’t make sense that he’d be chosen to recruit Sarah if that were so. Not to mention, his most recent comments prior to today suggested perhaps he did buy in..And Sarah was shown to be seeing through the smoke and mirrors – until Monday, when she saw the babies..So I am surprised that today, it’s looking like it did weeks ago when I was guessing that Sarah would leave, and Piotr would join her..Now, about Jim…

maybe Piotr will go with them when they leave….. or maybe he will figure out a way to let them leave without anyone else knowing……

Hey, JusSayin, when were you on Prickly City?.That is a tough strip. Most of its fans have their minds made up regardless of the facts. But there are a couple of level headed fans there..But I do like when the strip is just Carmen and Winslow.

It’s an especially hard sale to Sarah. She’s from a xenophobic autocracy, so, trying to shovel her into a new one seems to be flying as well as an egg can…

Piotr is seeing it this way…..no variety in daily life…all lizard ways….SSDD as we in the military use to call it.You can dress it all up, appeal to beat the band but in the end it is transparent as a flimsy veil. Our on US motto says it this way E Pluribus Unum.Out of Many…One.This society is doomed.

When all else fails, resort to the “All else failed” ploy.An act is an act. What matters is that you made the sale in the end, not how you got there. Piotr is still acting.

Sarah has gazed upon the faces of the innocent ones and has made her choice. Was it a wise one to make? Given the genocidal and murderous proclivities of their hosts things for her may not go so well for her now.Piotr does not believe is the lies he is selling we are reminded by our storyteller that our characters are indeed human deep down inside whether they realize it or not.Piotr sees the atrocities and cannot live with it, perhaps that is why he keeps the hooch in his room. What now? Perhaps there maybe others who have not drunk of the Kool-Aid and went goose stepping with the majority. Is there a chance they may form a 5th column?Whatever is going on, time is of the essence here, I doubt Wally has much time left.I also heard tonight’s menu has Barbecued Raccoon on it and Chocolate Mouse….They were out of Moose, (not Mousse)!

I’d never read Prickly City before people on this thread started talking about it, so I went through a few days of archived strips without reading the comments below (THAT can drive you crazy if you let it…better to laugh at the True Believers on both sides who think there’s any real difference between either than to take them seriously), and thought it was relatively benign so I added it to My Comics Page. Thanks for the tip, however unintentional.

I wasn’t thinking of souls from the religious standpoint but from the metaphorical standpoint. Most of the characters in “Endtown” seem to have feelings, they love, they hate, they suffer and struggle with things. You have Flask struggling over the pain of lost love and her desire for revenge. Wally and Holly falling in love and trying to keep that love alive as they deal with both their differences and pains and the difficulties tied to the end of civilization as we know it. We have Maude, who wants to make a close friend but has trouble letting go of the pain from losing her husband. Sometimes even the Topsiders can come off as something other than “Endtown’s” Imperial Stormtroopers. That’s what I mean when I say soul.

Piotr is still acting..Interesting point..Piotr has for the most part, seemed half-hearted at best, in his attempt to “sell” Sarah on joining their “lifeboat.” Was this part of the act?.Tough question..That Piotr was selected to make this “sale” argues in favor of this being an act. What Piotr said the day he first showed Sarah the nursery could also argue in favor of an act..But Piotr’s showing of the backstabbed statue could suggest this is not an act. That statue was anything but something to be “proud” of..And the way Piotr slithered away from the hatchery, allowing the females to take over, again, this would seem to show cracks in Piotr’s confidence in this society..Perhaps the biggest clue Aaron gave us is that we have Piotr’s first and last name – a tidbit not shared with any other scaly creature in this colony. This suggests to me that Piotr may well become a continuing character..I would maintain that not any of the other lizards we have met up to this point will become continuing characters in this story..Which is why I speculated, in the beginning, and once again as of yesterday, that Piotr is seriously thinking of defecting from Lizard Land!
