Kirbee is only trapped temporarily, if her physiology is the same as her lizard genes indicate, She may well lose her tail, but not her life. Unlike Sauroville, it will grow back.
Why do I have this image with that image: “I’m gonna die I’m gonna die I’m gonna die…” poit "Hey, I’m not gonna die! I’m gonna need a hemorrhoid donut for the next few weeks while it regrows, but yay! I’m not gonna die!’
There’s also the “remarkable mutant healing powers”…maybe it would grow back. (I did wonder, back awhile ago—-quite a while ago now—-why Endtown entombed its “dead” in concrete." If they recovered from that…)
While we have been with Kirbee through this adventure, Wally has not. He cannot know that she is more sympathetic than most lizards; or that she is the reason Holly and Chic and Irving are alive. Yet he will try to save her anyway.
OK, I really like Aaron’s work but in spite of Kirbee’s ditziness, I am having a really hard time accepting her just standing there watching the ceiling fall on her tail. Ditzy or not, when something is falling on you, you move!

Since Arron could do almost anything (the Evil Genius that he is) a worse case may be Wally having to not let Kirbee burn to death and having to live with that on top of all his other ghosts. Or…..can Dittos save the day?
Calm her down Wally, give her a loving kiss, hold her as long as you can, and don’t leave till you can’t stand the flames anymore……if you can’t save her….give her that much.
I don’t think she even had time to freeze before the beam came down. She started moving as soon as she saw it but her tail was just long enough that she wasn’t fast enough.
Always the forlorn hope of some deus ex machina ditto trick (yes I know about their limits otherwise) . Though, they might be able to tweak their albedo to provide some thermal protection and give her an extra critical moment for whatever outcome she might not otherwise have. Arron is a tricky one.
Wow, I bet they do! and they qould have to have some disturbances with balance. That tail must make up about 1/3 of their body. She is just too nice to end up dying a horrible death. I know that is not the case amongst the reality of life.
I just got a “semi-official unless a better answer comes along” answer for why the colony is going up in flames so fast. Think a wooden supporting structure with a rock facade, designed with the burning of Rome in mind.
Y’know, given Kirbee’s apparent age, it would seem she was born before the apocalypse and mutated during it—-maybe she could get used to being without a tail again…

She looks like a large lizard and those don’t drop their tails.

do those grow back? I know they’re lizards but are they the kind whose tails can regenerate?
