Well nuts.I among those who have been waiting for Aaron to pull this union out of the fire for a while now. I suppose he still could but we know, and I’m guessing most of us have witnessed break-ups or gone through them, there’s a point at which too many hurts have accumulated and the shared trust is too small, to save a couple. Restoring relationships into a trusting union after this point takes the Lord’s intervention, and I’ve seen that happen to. Be interested to see what happens next.

Well, Wally, as much as she hates you right now, she isn’t exactly in the right mindset to survive on her own..looks over at the Cafe Press ad Also, considering the amount of merchandise of you two, might be smart to keep her in the story.

Poor Holly. She is still deranged, badly. She can’t survive on her own without food and water and the others.I guess the others can’t survive long without food and water either.Has all this taken place in 1 day?Even so they are probably already thirsty.Poor Wally! I feel bad for Wally. He does love her and that has to hurt terribly. He didn’t do anything to wrong her, it’s her perception or lack of it that is off.She is like a small child who says she is running away, but has no concept of survival.I wish Kirbee hadn’t mentioned Clive and figured he Was just food.Or, there was no mention that Clive couldn’t go.

Well, the Topsiders have a solution to the lack of mental facilities here. Once they catch Holly they will take away all of her mental problems.

Hopefully Holly is heading in the right direction. If so, they can just let her lead the march up ahead until she collapses from thirst or weariness, and then catch up and minister to her. Once she is exhausted, she may come to her senses, but the wound in her heart, so deep and profound, may never truly heal.

…you know what? How old is she? I mean, she’s the tallest of the group so I thought she was just a ditzy adult, but is she actually like 13 or something and has nearly no memory of the world before whatever apocalypse happened?

Well! Holly was jealous of Kirbee, the evil eye in Wednesday’s strip says it all.Kirbee’s amazing tongue sealed the deal for Holly. After all, how could she compete with that?Holly’s racist rant shocked me a little, it was not expected..If she really leaves, and Wally should let her. Otherwise they should sleep with one eye open and a steel pot over his nuts..Can, and will Wally send a few dittoes to protect her?I suspect this is what may lead to Holly’s death..And when next we see her she’ll either be a PT or a MUTT.I hope a PT…Just for the irony…

Whatever happened to “One for All and All for One”? Whatever happened to “Esprit de Corps”. A certain mouse needs to calm down and be reminded that Kirbee has saved hers and Wally’s life more than once, while all she has contributed lately is vitriol.

Still not a fan of withholding the crucial part of Holly’s backstory that’s really driving her out-of-character behavior.

Hurts the drama if we can’t appreciate their different perspectives. It’s a good turn of events for the story, but it would be so much better if we, the viewers just knew what it was that drove Holly nuts.

To an extent I agree with Jerseycajun about not being clear about holly’s backstory sooner. But that said, I was hoping this would happen for some time now. In order for holly to heal into someone else, she needs distance. Right now she’s in a combination of denial and raw greif. The only way for her to chose is to have the mirror flipped on her. See what she’s become in the reflection of someone else.

If I had to hazard a guess, this is where Sarah comes back into play. The core of holly’s greif is a lost child. Rewind to our deceased buddy sparkplug’s story, and you’ll have an idea how heafty holly’s shock is. Well, Sarah had some decisively successful hanky-panky back at unity. That = a baby of her own, with no other food or water around.

And I’m guessing that is what’s going to force holly to look at her own stance. Realize that maybe, just maybe she isn’t the only woman in the world who wanted to keep a child. And that couldn’t be truer if she finds Sarah either dead, or better near death with a choice to make.

Holly is clearly jealous of Kirby.

What is interesting is that Kirby has become more of a mother to Chic than his own mother and Wally has become more of a father to him than his own father. Wally, Kirby, Chic, and Irving have become an image of a classic family. Holly probably feels like the crazy aunt. She probably embraced Clive as surrogate child and found Wally’s rejection of Clive as a rejection of their own child. So she probably feels that Wally has moved on.

Even though Kirby isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer; she definitely has her maternal instincts down.

    Not sure what you mean.

I’m not criticizing Aaron for wanting to make money, if you think that’s what I was doing…more power to him. Shoot, I contribute to Patreon every month because this strip’s continuation is worth it. I’m just agreeing with GildedTongue that Holly has been one of Endtown’s most prominent (and marketable) characters…why let that go while it’s still a struggle to make this strip work financially.

Holly seems to have caught the crazy that killed the raccoon. She’s definitely gone round the bend. Now that Wally knows he can shape the Dittos in 3D, I wonder if he’ll use them to make them some sort of transportation? They’ll need to cover a lot of ground if they’re going to find water and food.

I was thinking that Holly’s curse might have been literally translated as, “One who has sex with his own mother.” That would suggest the target should always be male but I think its an equal opportunity curse.

Maybe an attempt to rescue Clive would be enough to bring Holly back into the fold (at least temporarily). Given Wally’s newfound talents with the dittos, who knows what sort of contraption he might come up with? Deus ex dittos anyone?

The ‘Clive’ character really turned out very differently from what I had imagined. I expected Clive to become a mutt, who then discovers he has a proclivity for writing fictional horror. Then he’d start calling himself Clive Barker. . .
