Oh…no. Badge showing high dosage. And the survivor (child?) doesn’t feel well. Will the child crumble away to dust?-——————————————————————You called it right. Amesworth radiation is no joke. Run Wally, run!

This is not affecting Wally because he is Not really here. Or this isn’t real.Something isn’t really happening, and he hasn’t figured out what he needs to do next.Probably wants to find Kirbee and Chic, they are no doubt wondering what happened to him.Sad to see even a stranger die.

I can’t imagine why Wally was given such a severe shock treatment in this enactment of the end of life in the open. This is heart wrenching just to follow as a spectator,

One of the saddest scenes ever… at least since the death of Allie.

I don’t think we’ve ever had such a good profile of Wally before as we see in panel three. In case anybody is wondering, Wally is headed outside. Does he really go outside or does the recreation finally end?

This strip is awesome. You can almost feel the emotions from the expressions drawn on the faces of anthropomorphic animals. THAT is good artistic expression.Great job, Aaron!

The dittos (or maybe Wally’s subconscious) may have felt he needed this scene for closure of some kind. He may have wanted to be there for those who had no one to be with them when they turned to dust, and he was provided the opportunity if only to confirm or not that his feelings are warranted.

When you think about it; if this really is a flashback and Wally obviously hasn’t been in this spot to witness this girl’s death…did she die alone?

Maybe now Wally understands what Holly went through, and why her psyche is so fragile, especially after that horrendous Milk Trial. To think that she was facing execution because she figured out how to make cheese in a land of canned beans. And let’s not forget about her being asked to show compassion to a freshly-mutated Topsider. She, in turn, decided to show compassion to an old man who just wanted a piece of cake.In a time when those who can provide food should be treated as heroes…Perhaps the flashback will end once he goes through that door. What happens after that? Stay tuned…

I wonder where that door leads since Holly and Doc had to come through a manhole to get here. I think we’re in for another surprise on Monday.

This would be the door that the duck took Doc and Holly in through. If the illusion is still in progress, it would lead out to the sewer system. In reality, it leads wherever the director of this show wants it to.

I see in the last panel that there are no bodies, no blood spatter, no clothing. Just piles of dust.

I am following this strip since day one when it started. It’s just that I have noticed that when Aaron ends a a particular series showing the person or persons back to us. And he has on this one.

My guess is that Wally is going to run into topsiders on the other side of that door.

So that’s the source of all the dust that pretty much covers the planet, all the living things turned to dust by the radiation…it only works on organic matter right? I remember in a previous arc an intact food bag was opened to find nothing but dust inside.
