Dittos! Find a reality for us to thrive in! (Flying Unicorns optional… )
Yeah, Wally should think about that dream he had about Marx and Candyland… since Mr. Neathery has just made clear that the equivalent is going to happen here.
Begs the question, who or what twisted this bubble of reality off from the original? And how the heck are they going to ‘pop’ that bubble? At least now we know where the mad raccoon anomaly is oozing in from, one of the squashed realities. We know they escaped from ‘Unity’ and they were on the surface for a while, and ran into that Lucranian ship with its bubble-realities for the people it had caught. And they supposedly left the ship and it disappeared, but maybe they never left the ship. What if the ship merged the still living people into one reality so there’d be more emotions from their interactions with each other? Could that be why no one remembers how they wound up in Eden? What a headache inducing problem.
This is why the Dead Eyes went after reality jumpers like Aaron Marx. When you open a door things can move back and forth. So a door if opened must be shut tightly. It looks like the door at Eden did not fully close. Do remember folks……Endtown saga started after Albert and the Free Energy…….this may have been a place where there was a free energy plug. Marx tried to stop the activation of the free energy plugs but he failed to stop it……and in the morning it was a new reality. Now about that DaVinci mango trout gum……..
I kinda get it…..it reminds me a bit of the Thinnys from The Dark Tower. Places where reality has started to break down and become “thin,” and all manner of weirdness happens.
So now, I guess, they have to find a way to either unstick their bubble, or wait for it to pop like a zit?
This would seem to put paid to the idea that Wally and family can leave Eden and go wandering again. There is no place for them to wander to. And they’re still not hearing of Chic’s midnight adventure.
To misquote Arthur C Clark (and many others) : "Any holes in the plot of a SF storyline can be covered with a “Multiverse” label and some extra duct tape." That said, Endtown is still a fun ride.
Look at the diagram in this comic, then go back and look at the diagram on the wall in yesterday’s comic. Eep.
Writers need to be careful of pulling in too much in the way of alternate realities. As Niven showed in “All the Myriad Ways,” when everything is real, nothing is.
This does make sense ,when I was a young teenager I had a thought that Was a similar concept of the universe as bread, my mind really got into that.Your thought about baked noodles reminded of that. But 1st is that a reference is a movie?Like Holly from a few years ago, “I don’t get out much.I probably haven’t seen it.
For me, this begs the question of how Wally et al. got into this bubble. If there is a passage in, then there should be a passage out. The idea that they were “met by someone” suggests that someone has the ability to pass through the layers of reality and bring them into Eden 2. That same someone very likely has the ability to move them out of the bubble.
Some have said “bubbles pop,” but any bubble is a layer of tension separating a force inside pushing out from a force outside pushing in. If the force outside overcomes the force expanding the bubble, it will either be shoved back across realities into its proper place, or compressed down to nothing, like the alternate universe in Terry Pratchett’s “Mort” which was crushed into a small pearl by the pressure of the mainline universe.
If the bubble is porous, allowing other realities to “leak” in, then it also can allow those inside to “leak” out into the realities closest to the bubble. But the nature of porous bubbles is that they dissolve, allowing free mixing of what is inside with what is outside, and equilibrium is re-established that way as the tension is released. Incidentally, this is the chemistry behind latex paint and water-soluble alkyds, and the interaction between what is inside the bubbles and outside creates a new material with different characteristics from either.
If the bubble has physical dimensions that correspond to the physical dimensions of its contents, that suggests real problems for the layers of reality on the outside of it, which are “physically” compressed down to nothing. That would have been bad news for anybody living in those areas of those realities when they were compressed by the intrusion of the EndTown world’s reality. If they survived it, there would be understandable feelings of resentment.
So if other realities are leaking in, then the comic Ravenscroft has is probably a manifestation of another ‘leaking’ dimension emerging in their own.
Could the entire apocalyptic incident that was attributed to a mutagenic virus actually have been a multiverse cross-over event that was exacerbated by something Apex did? Or perhaps have Apex even caused it? Could all the cute animal people be a result of a reality where Cardoodles was the paradigm merging into the “normal” reality?
I wonder if Endtown, Unity and the rest are part of that same reality or in different ones? Also if Eden is in its own reality, then what give it that distinction?

…Lost’s gobbledygook has long stopped me from wasting too much time on trying to figure this kind of plotline out…
…no, wait…
…or was that The Bible?…
…either way, I’m just enjoying the ride until the camera shot where I lift up my shirt…

Interesting, but begs a question of “our reality”. Are Wally and company from the original reality of Eden, or did they “Leak In”?

What was the date that the comic was shone on? May be non grammatically correct. When it was seen?
