So I wasn’t entirely wrong when I suggested Wally et al could be the result of crossed universes and why you needed Topsider eyepieces to see the comic (because it didn’t exist in Wally’s universe). And where-ever this Topsider came from, they know about the comic book.
Begs two questions though:1. Is Wally’s vision changed by having worn the goggles? He mentioned something was off earlier, and seeing the cross-dimensional tape recorder wasn’t an issue.2. How’d the tape recorder split the difference between two realities? Is there a particular weakness developing in the separation there outside the hatch?3. This Topsider is from a completely different universe (as far as we know) and called Wally et al “Cardoodles” instead of the traditional “Mutants”. Does this mean The War happened in multiple realities, and more than just the once resulted in the Endtown Scenario? Makes me think that Apex really did mess things up on an epic scale back when.
Betcha these suits protect you from reality shifts like when Wally shifted into a candyman in his dream. Endtown’s version of Earth, then, may have merged with another that has its inhabitants look like three fingered anthropomorphs, monsters, and bugs.
It’s always been that losing your suit here will transform you except on rare occasion.
So our topsider is from a reality where the trio are three Cardoodles instead of Mutagenic- freaks-to-be-eliminated. She did an intentional portal transfer to the beach and then an unintentional transfer when she grasped the Apex voice recorder; and she’s aware of the foul-up upon seeing the Cardoodles. Maybe Ravencroft was from her reality but his suit got breached when he was knocked out.

Those Topsider goggles the boys had seem to be hooked on the end of Duffy’s tail
