Sofa…so good.

“Maybe there some loose change I can find. Ooooo couch corn” (popcorn that has fallen in the couch cushions).

“Wally, why are you just sitting around on that couch? Let’s go!”

Aha! We’re heading for a cushioned landing!

Aaron enough with the falling and crashing. Can we get on with the story?

The photorealism of the couch among everything else further supports my theory that everything in the sky is from some higher, more dimensioned reality. Eden had to have been anchored to the Topsiders’ reality, which is everyone’s home reality, so the sky stuff likely came from a breach in the higher dimension. It’s not as defined as our reality, though, more like a 1950s advertising agency reality.

I wonder what he’ll find under the cushions?

Hey, if Indiana Jones can survive a nuke in a fridge, Wally can make it through whatever this is in a couch!

Couch surfing?

Hiding under the cushions? Sounds genius enough.

Hey, might as well fall in comfort.

Here’s hoping the sofa will cushion his fall.

I’m hoping Wally made it on to the sofa for a soft landing, but, scan panel 4 as close as I can, I can’t see any sight of him. Not so much as a stray bit of fur hanging over an edge. On the other hand I cant see him anywhere else either.

Oh, no! The comfy couch!

So there’s Cracky. Where’s the rest of the gang?

Not quite a parachute. But it will have to do. At least it will be a softer landing than a %$#@ refrigerator.

Cracky finally finds the remote….and some spare change!!

I assume that this means that the Armageddon won’t be as much fun as everyone claims it will be. Who can watch TV under these conditions?

I’m ready to take a nap! No recliner so a comfy couch will have to do.

Dang, I missed the update..

A quick “CATnap” while the world is crashing around you?! Anything to cushion the landing!!

Since there hasn’t been a cardboard box yet, this will have to do.

He reaches in the couch and finds… the missing remote that will… pause(?) this cataclysm.

We all long to be saved by the sofa.

Mittens the cat opened his eyes. He had been sleeping under sofa cushions. ‘What a strange, terrible dream!’, he thought. ’ Then he got out of the couch and found a spot of sun to lay in, happy that the world hadn’t been destroyed, and he wasn’t a cat-man named Wally. The End.

Sofa, so good.

Is the fifth book coming anytime soon? seems overdue.

I give up. I’m going to read something else.

The Divan of Doom

Good thing that’s not a wardrobe. Apparently, getting into one of those can lead to more problems…like lions.

Went back to beginning of sequence – very well done – like watching a storyboard from Inception – how reality was changing around him. I know is quick to read, but is slow to draw. Bravo!
