I had a pay check that was drawn on Bank of Boston. I went to Bank of Boston to cash it and they would not because I didn’t have an acct there. So basically they didn’t trust there own paper.
I had a bank tell me that one time. I said fine and went to the police station and had their client charged with writing a rubber check. This was a multimillion dollar construction firm. Needless to say the company didn’t care for that especially since I wasn’t the only person who did that. There was about 5-6 of us that did that. We were fed up with the bank crap. That bank lost a big customer because the next check I got paid from that company was written on a different bank. That bank never gave me trouble about cashing my check.
I tell banks that require my thumb print the same thing. If my state issued ID isn’t good enough for them then as far as I’m concerned any check written on their bank is worthless and I will got directly to the police and file charges over it. I never get asked for a thumbprint twice.

I’ll need to see two forms of ID, and a pay check stub from your last employment.
