A company I worked for reduced staffing from 1100 to 497 in a day. We waited at our desks until called to the manager’s office. From there we were either told that we still had a job or escorted to our desk by security to clean it out and then escorted off-site. When I walked in my boss told me “Understand that this isn’t personal, just business.” Then he told me I was reassigned to another section (where I picked up the work for 2 people who hadn’t made it). it would have been nice if he had told me about the reassignment first.
Kinda what managers are supposed to do isn’t it? A well run company does not have non productive people on the payroll. Now the government on the other hand is the direct opposite where the number of people.. productive or not.. determines the budget.

You’ll be sorry the next time things go wrong, and you don’t have me to blame anymore.
