Large (60 cm cube?) plastic mesh structure with a spring tension cat door. Attached to one side is a tray of large, low density non-friable absorbent material over a fine mesh screen with a fan pulling a constant airflow through the material. Air then passes through a heated (300 C) nickel/copper grid that converts the ammonia to water and NO2.
Tray absorbs liquid for evaporation, heated grid handles most odors, mesh cube prevents absorbent particles and AHEM “other” solids from escaping into the cabin.
Electrostatic collector outside the mesh structure to capture any stray particles.

What? I design stuff for a living.
