“Spirit of Christmas” is just one of many phrases that refer to the love of and for Christ. We usually celebrate it this time of year, even though we are not told what time of year Christ was born, because early Christians had to keep a low profile. We can celebrate the “Spirit of Christmas” all through the year if we wish. And we should.
It doesn’t really matter if there is any reality in the myth, it is the message that matters. Personal faith is what shapes us, no matter who we are. We can only hope that the shape we chose is one that is something we can all live with. Peace on earth, good will to all mankind, is not just a Christian belief.

My religion does. It’s the one started by Jesus Christ.
