A friend and I laid in lawn lounger chairs and sleeping bags to watch a meteor shower at about midnight. We woke up about 0830 the next morning. I don’t think either of us saw any meteors.
The birds start singing at 5 am while I have my coffee and read my GoComics. Then I watch the sunrise and realize how grateful I am for another wonderful day. :)
When I was young it was fun. Now that I am old and tired and want to sleep and can’t it’s NOT fun…..it’s annoying…..extremely annoying. Hence my melatonin at night now. However some nights it just doesn’t work which really stinks. Like last night and so I went and took another melatonin and finally went to sleep.
Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, I get up between 3 & 5 am and go drive a delivery truck. I have seen and photographed some fantastic sunrises. Have also seen a number of “shooting stars”. Some quite awesome. One was back in the early 80’s. From my position it looked to be streaking NE to SW and burnt a bright green trail across the Western sky.

I am a morning person.

I lived near the Arctic Circle. In the winter sunrise was mid morning, in the summer, sunrise was back in March
