We have had no problem telling our grandchildren, ‘NO.’ And there have been time when we were more strict that their parents. We are still the favorite grandparents, with myself being the ‘hands-down’ favorite. And I am the ‘mean’ one. That is because I am also the one who would get down on the floor and really play with them. we both would read to them, but the play and rough-housing really gave me the ‘special’ bond.
