A technique useful in reading labels on the lowest and highest shelves in a grocery store.Also used at an Asian grocery I use. Google translate, live or from photo. Unlimited data plan.

As a longtime label-reader,the phones nowadays really help!

I have a family member who worked for a printing company. He gave me a little magnifier similar to a jeweler’s loupe used to proof for errors in the print. One day my son scoffed at me when he saw me using it to try to read instructions on a can. I handed the can to him and challenged he to read it. Even with 20/20 vision, he could not make out the instructions.

I’m more old-school. I have a small magnifying glass in my pocket when I go shopping. Have to use it nearly every time I go shopping.

If I lose my ability to read labels, I will get glasses.

Now that’s a clever idea. I’ll remember that the next time I’m shopping.
