Actually, I’m probably an idiot user, myself…

One of my email signatures from my IT days was “I repair neither hardware nor software. I repair users.”

I called in to a radio show with two guys one time when one of the hosts was having a computer problem. I told the other guy that the problem was an ID 10 T problem. I told them to write it down and take it to their tech department. The guy with the problem banned me from calling in for life.

One time a user told me his laptop kept going to sleep mode for no reason. I looked down and saw that his charger wasn’t plugged in all the way. Another person came up and told me, “Hey, the remote for the AC isn’t working, and I already put in new batteries! What’s wrong with it??” I looked down, and turned the remote so that the LED pointed TOWARD the unit. :P :P :P

I think a lot of us are getting to that point.

I am definitely one of them :D I am mildly surprised that Jack figured it out… or did he..

On the other hand, I know how to write a letter, drive a stick shift, change my car’s oil, and figure a 20% tip in my head! So there!

There’s another one for when you don’t want to be that insulting, like with the guy that signs your paycheck.

Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard.

I just got a Chromebook and I couldn’t get the USB flashdrive to be recognized. I was putting it in the charging C-socket, not the USB one. I guess it was an ID 10 T problem for me.
