My MIL is in hospice care at our house and OMG have I heard the same stories over and over about people I’ve never met (and never will since they’re all dead) including how many times I’ve heard how much her father loved gravy and how good her mother’s apple pies were. I know it’s the dementia and I just let her drone on, but it’s exhausting.
learn to be kind, one day it will be you. them walk with you down their memory land. let them revisit their past and the good times. time is short enough without you making it a chore.

I try not to tell the same person the same thing but sometimes I forget who I already told.

Listen to your grandmother’s stories, even when she repeats them; you’ll miss her when she’s gone.
