You won’t know for sure, there will always be that lingering doubt
All I’m saying is, if I’m an alien race wanting to set up a hidden base on Earth, I’m putting it at the bottom of the ocean.
But we need to study the wetness.
I think it’s amusing that humans have created technology that has gone beyond the reaches of our solar system, but we can’t get to the lowest places in our own oceans

Ironically, when we say we’re exploring the oceans, what we’re mostly looking at is the land underneath. All the water is mostly just in the way.
