Shakespeare invented a lot of words. He could have done that.

Dictionary words just can’t describe what happened.

I try to use dictionary words but GoComics won’t let me.

Tony’s been reading Calvin and Hobbes again.

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe.

Well, HE didn’t invent them.

But I only speak in portmanteau, malapropisms and spoonerisms

Testify in your own words…has anyone ever tried that who is multilingual and their mother tongue isn’t English?

Or, for that matter, Maroni from Johnny Dangerously (great comedy, doubt it could be made nowadays):

“You fargin sneaky bastage. I’m gonna take your dwork. I’m gonna nail it to the wall. I’m gonna crush your boils in a meat grinder. I’m gonna cut off your arms. I’m gonna shove ’em up your icehole. Dirty son-a-ma-batches. My own club!”

If they aren’t words he invented, how can they be his own words?
