When people in the Marvel Universe see a bad movie, they ask Dr. Strange to refund their two hours so they can do something they like instead of the movie.

I’m guessing this was the moment Dr. Clayton Forrester formulated the idea of sending that cleaning guy Joel into space to watch bad movies.

I can’t think of any movie that started off bad, then redeemed itself late in the movie. I recently wasted 90 minutes watching Barbie.

The 1996 movie Mad Dog Time grossed a whopping $107,874 USD and had an $8 million budget.

Roger Ebert stated : ““Mad Dog Time” is the first movie I have seen that does not improve on the sight of a blank screen viewed for the same length of time. Oh, I’ve seen bad movies before. But they usually made me care about how bad they were. Watching “Mad Dog Time” is like waiting for the bus in a city where you’re not sure they have a bus line.”

Starring : Jeff Goldblum as Mickey Holliday

    Richard Dreyfuss as Vic

    Gabriel Byrne as Ben London

    Ellen Barkin as Rita Everly

    Diane Lane as Grace Everly

    Gregory Hines as Jules Flamingo

    Kyle MacLachlan as Jake Parker

    Burt Reynolds as Jackie Jackson

    Billy Idol as Lee Turner

    Angie Everhart as Gabriella

    Billy Drago as Wells

    Paul Anka as Danny

    Rob Reiner as Albert

    Joey Bishop as Gottlieb

Richard Pryor as Jimmy the Gravedigger

I remember feeling that way in “The Astronaut’s Wife” many years ago. It had to get better I thought, it can’t be this bad, but is was. The friend I was seeing it with thought the same, we both wanted to leave after the first 5 minutes but I stuck it out, a big mistake.

I have had food that kept its bad secret until later. Occasionally we would get hot food in the field for holidays which always had a shrimp cocktail. I would tell the guys “Not the shrimp cocktail!” but they wouldn’t listen. As the medic, it fell to me to find a remedy for their various post-consumption bad food experiences.

Ah, if we only could just get the time back from watching such “classics” as “That Loving Feeling”.

The ticket taker warned me it was the first movie he walked out of. I should have listened.

    Worst movie ever: Aliens 3.

    Dreary gives it a zero.

Retroactively ruined the second movie, which was a 10, so minus 10 points for that.

Wasted two hours of my life that I will never get back give it two more points off.

    Total score = -12 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I get a kick out of people who things like “well, that’s fifteen minutes that I’ll never get back”. Of course you won’t get that time back – time marches on no matter how you spend it.
