Elizabeth: You want Grampa to have my room? For how long, Dad? John: As long as he likes, honey. - You'll be moving to Michael's room. Elizabeth: But I don't really want Michael's room. April: Well, you can't have mine! John: This isn't a case of what anyone wants...it's what has to happen. He needs his own space, and his own bathroom - and there's only one bedroom in the house that will give him that. April and Elizabeth: YOURS!!

I’ve never understood this strip. If there’s only one bedroom in the house with it’s own bathroom, and it’s John’s, why is Grampa given Elizabeth’s? From all the strips we’ve seen about bathroom conflicts, first with Michael and then with April, Liz doesn’t have her own bathroom. Plus, wasn’t it Michael’s room that was converted into a guest room? Elizabeth even said at the time that she thought her mom was eventually expecting Grampa to come. ???
