There’s nothing wrong with cottage cheese OR salad and counting calories might be good for HIM, too.

Eating healthy and knowing the calorie content of food is a great way to prevent problems with weight later on in life. (Unless kids take it to the extreme and become anorexic or bulimic because the parents screw with their brains by being obsessive about their kids weight.)

    ejcapulet:

lots wrong with cottage cheese actually–lousy texture, doesn’t drain out well, …–but these can be fixed by subbing Ricotta!

The other side of the coin is trying to gain weight. I put on 2# with pumpkin pie last month. Almost to my goal.

I thought my comment was funny too, but looks like someone else did not because now it’s gone. Too bad we live in the “World of the Offended”. So many thin skinned cry babies. By the way, my wife does not serve me cottage cheese. She knows better.

Hey you guys and gals, add fruits such as pineapple or peach on the top of cottage cheese. I love to eat that fruit and cottage cheese. If my mood makes me feel like to eat that, I will eat it. If not, I would forget about it.

“If you really loved us, you would do anything to prevent us from suffering.”

I’d take the kids out for ice cream while she did the dishes. Cold day in hell my active, growing kids would be going on a diet just because she isn’t happy with what is in fact a perfectly fine figure. Thin is NOT attractive.

Burgundy2: Yes. Fortunately it is possible to have offensive comments deleted. Just click on the little flag.

I just wish commenters would remember that children read these strips and comments.

Unfortunately obesity is pandemic in the U.S. It is not necessarily how much (that too) but what is put in the mouth. I am dating myself but we ate what was put in front of us and liked it (or not) but that was all there was. Pizza was a treat once or twice a year (no home delivery) because it was cheap. . People have to take the responsibility to educate their children in proper eating habits. Among other things. . Good food is more enjoyable than junk food. Everything in moderation, including moderation.
