Love the third panel. You can see the fear in his eyes

deadeye bill, Elly does have superior intellect–after all, she undestood Occam’s Razor principle of simplest=right! (simplest method to get Mike to go to bed, just turn off lights)

    Not intellect, experience.

Parents keep forgetting that kids are just as smart as them, we parents just have more experience…from all the stupid stuff WE did as kids.

Kids do not have the stamina to stay up all night until they become teens.

Turning off the lights never worked on my oldest son. He’d either play in the dark, or work on figuring a way to reach the light switch.

It’s funny what happens when we age. I am now getting up at the time I used to go to bed.

Supposedly if Mike refuses to go bed earlier, make him go BED NOW! And also, put the little nightlight plug on the wall so he will be able to sleep better. On the third panel, I love the way Mike’s eyes get spooky! Perhaps he learns his lesson and goes bed on time.
