Thanks for the catch, thebird55. I thought it was Dad speaking in the last panel, but your clarification helps explain the story and why mom is muffling her laughter.
So what is it with people having the need to do the whole “spoiler alert”? Not that it matters to me so much, because I have swiss cheese memory ^^ But other’s do not.
So, why the pathetic need to feel as though they are being edgy? Ir Helpful? Or whatever goes on in the mind of a “Spoiler wannabe elitist”
I recently put forth the idea that if others can’t resist it, that they headline the spoiler with an alert. That post was so short that my eyes took it in before I thought to stop (I already knew the story, though). Maybe the info should be in the next paragraph.
We’ve all been saying it’s the wrong cabin. These old strips are being REVISITED. If somebody remembers the outcome from the original run, it won’t be different now.
Elly covering her mouth reminded me of a story my aunt told last time the family was together, about when I was Micheal’s age. I said something twerpy and she was trying sooooo hard not to laugh and I looked up and her and said, “I saw you smile Aunt Chris!” Then she couldn’t help laughing. I totally don’t remember that but it sounds like something I’d do. LOL

^^ thank you - i stand corrected.

It doesn’t really seem in character for Michael at that age.

Seeing how Ted kept that cabin, can you imagine the mess that Elly is about to walk into with Ted staying at their house?
jaydandrews over 14 years ago
I’m still pretty sure they were at the wrong cabin…can’t wait for Ted’s reaction.
WebSpider over 14 years ago
Very possible.
But remember how chauvinistic Ted can be. He may assume that Elly might enjoy cleaning up his mess.
You can bet he’ll be the first to complain to John about any minor repair items needing attention at the Patterson home.

Michael’s eyes got real big in the third panel. He knew just when Dad went too far.

I agree with that it’s the wrong cabin, Ted that’s not my cabin, and Elly I told you to ask for direction’s.

Well, they were at the wrong cabin. I remember this one from long ago even though she is revising the old ones, I’ll bet the story ends the same way.

I figured it would be the wrong cabin the way the plot was running. Later on Dilbert used the same punchline.

But you haven”t seen the inside of your house. If Teds place was in the shape it was in, how bad did he distroy your place

Wildmustang1262, this time it wasn’t Ted’s fault - he most likely gave them good directions but John forgot them at home.
