Brings back memories of Bill Cosby’s description of witnessing childbirth.

The whole Bill Cosby childbirth routine has been in my head for days now. If you haven’t seen it, you really should. It’s a wonder they had 5 children. (“We had five children because we did not want 6.”)

Susan, she is in the “labor room” you don’t go into delivery room until the last minute. Well here in Canada its like that, well used to be. I on the other hand didn’t have time for that, my daughter decided she didn’t want to wait, I got as far as the “sign in here” room, then the elevator!

That was sweet. Even though childbirth is difficult, I never understood women who yelled at, threatened, beat on, etc their husbands. My first labor lasted almost 12 hours and I did the second one naturally (no drugs), and I still tried to be polite and calm. Bravo, Annie! And although the mother does most of the sweat work, even if the father is there just to hold her hand, that is always helpful. Bravo to the fathers who are there during childbirth and beyond!

When I was having my first one, my husband was there and all. He actually asked me if we would be having any more kids. I was in hard labor. And we had two more kids later on.
