The illustrations for “In the Night Kitchen” are unforgettable.
Mickey flies a plane made of rising bread dough, above a skyline made of bottles and boxes with salt shaker spires, with, yes, a measuring cup on his head.
Michael’s plane is wooden and he’s wearing an aviator’s cap, but in yesterday’s first panel I was nonetheless struck by the resemblance.
jael, don’t blame you father. We’re all responsible for ourselves. I’m sure if he had intervened you would have rebelled and told him to mind his own business.
John came through for Michael. But Elly had to spit out her lit!tle humor! This is one of the best comic strips that ever came along besides Peanuts, Nancy, Beetle Bailey, and others. Please don’t knock it.

Guys, maybe John just doesn’t want Michael to be stuck in one room or have to keep taking the plane off at the party.

OMG! You’re bringing politics into a FBOW comic strip? How low can you go?

Actually it’s the conservatives who want to cut the h*** out of everything.

Wish my dad had done background checks on the guy I married after my husband died. Would have saved us all a lot of grief; and money!
