Being a mother is a thankless job for Elly.

Don’t complain Michael.Your mom knows an easy way to make it less tough on you.

Moms are saints – but it takes a lifetime to realize it!!

Allen, I hope for your sake that it’s just a story you tell people to shut them up.

I enjoyed being a mom, but there were days when I just wanted to be LEFT ALONE. Don’t get on Elly’s case for wanting it once in a while. That’s just being a parent.

You don’t have to be “puckish” about it.

Give your mom a big kiss, Michael, and tell her how much you appreciate all she does for you and your little sister.

Michael won’t see Elly as a person who has done all this for him until he has kids of his own.

howtheduck – We don’t see the scenes in between the panels – it could very well be that Michael has been chattering away the whole time without finishing his sentence. That isn’t just a cartoon thing – I know real people like that (and love them anyway).
