$126.13 “back then” (say, about 1984) would have been worth about $90US. Today $126.13 Canadian is be worth about $130US.

To me, this shows the difference between now and then. Now, most women have their own credit cards and/or money, and would never think to ask their husbands for money. A definite improvement in my opinion.

Why would she try to bring a toddler shopping?!? Is she crazy? If John is home to watch the kids, she should take the opportunity to actually run some errands efficiently, without kids in tow.

Reminds me of a cartoon years ago:“Dear, I need more money for shopping.All I’ve got left is three 100s, ten 50s, some 20s and 10s and a stack of 5s and 1s!”

Be thankful he didn’t give her a credit card!
