For Better or For Worse by Lynn Johnston for November 28, 2013

Note people, this is a Canadian comic strip and Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. Anyway, I’m not sure if I can imagine women today dancercising to Justin Bieber.

Lynn’s never done a Canadian Thanksgiving storyline in the history of her strip. Am I right? If she hasn’t I wonder why.

Some things just do not need to be discussed.

Lynn Johnston helps us smile at our own problems. If the characters were all cheerful and happy, we would not identify with them in the same way. There is another strip that serves that purpose, and I love them both!

Shucks I meant to comment on the strip. Michael is being very disrespectful to his mom and I wouldn’t put up with it. This would be something I’d blister his butt for.

Did almost hafta break out the ‘eye bleach’

About Thanksgiving, I don’t think Canadians have the same sentiment for the holiday as we Americans do, which would explain the lack of strips. I have seen a few FBOFW Boxing Day (??!!!) strips though.

Macushlalondra: Thanksgiving has been observed in North America for a few millennia. The first involving Europeans was by the Frobisher expedition on Baffin Island – thanks for surviving the winter!

Giving thanks for the bounty of the land is universal – who cares what day it happens. I am sure that Canadians have turkey, ham, cranberry sauce, gravy, and all the rest at their celebration.

Well,at least he didn’t say “fat chicks”.
