I feel the same way about my cat. Especially when I have to go somewhere or do something I don’t enjoy, and there she lays on the bed without a care in the world. But it would become boring after a while I’d think.

And then he died. Honorably, at least.

We used to have fights about who got the dog to sleep in their rooms. He always ended up sleeping under my parent’s bed because he had to guard the boss(my mom).

And this is also what happens in custody disputes in which the parents use the kids to punish each other with regard to visitation — the kids are the ones who always end up losing!

I would think there are more important things to teach children other than how to say something grammatically correct.

You can tell who’s dog it is by who it goes to when hungry or who it wants to sit by on the couch. Yep, it’s the one who usually feeds it. Much like the human male.

TO GOWEEDER: THANK YOU! AND PAULA, PUZZLEWHIZ AND OTHERS RESPONDING TO YOU: how well you speak is a reflection of how well you think. If you cannot take the trouble TO think through what you want to convey and then to construct sentences that accurately convey your thoughts you require your listener to interpret what it is you mean, and you are not worth listening to because I, as the listener, get to make up what you’re thinking anyway. As for the young people and their problems, communication, connection with the part of the species that is not THEM, is very much one of their problems.

I actually always felt sorry for Farley in this strip. His humans were always a little sub dog-standard.

Ever notice that when two opposing special interest groups get to fighting, one will invariably pull the Hitler card on the other?
