I have a yard full of blue Forget-Me-Nots right now. They are a very invasive plant. They will spread all over.

I think Mrs. Baird is having regrets about moving into assisted living.i don’t blame her. They’re not for everyone.Folks should stay in their homes for as long as they can if that’s what they want.I know I will.

My grandfather resisted moving into an assisted living home at first, but once Dad changed homes for him, he did very well. He resented the necessity, and kinda took it out on the first place he moved to, but once he was past that he was okay with it. There wasn’t anything wrong with the first place, just Grandpa’s resentment.

Depends whether you (and your neighbors) want a green lawn or a blue one…

My mother lived alone in her own home until the day she suddenly died at age 89. My brother lived close enough to check in on her and drive her to the beauty parlor, shopping etc. She was strongly independent and like her mother before her, would never give up her own home and surrounding to move into another place. Had she required assistance, then either my brother, who was single at the time, would have moved back in with her, or we would have hired someone as a live-in caretaker. Here, in Ecuador, seniors are a valued part of the family and live with the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Nursing homes and assisted living facilities are not unheard of but are very scarce.

They will re-seed themselves wherever, and whenever, and FOREVER! If you don’t like them…make that LOVE them… don’t ever introduce them into your flower beds. I live in rural, south western NY state.

Notice how Mrs. Baird still refers to it as “her” house.
