The third panel reminds me of a Foreigner song.

What a beautiful slice of life. One child pining for the “Romance” we idolise so much in all our pop culture, one growing up towards positive things, and good friends being supportive and confused together through it all. This sort of tiny-but-important reality is what I love about FBofW

Lynn’s Notes:Another true story…At about the age of 16, I went to Montreal to visit my mom’s sister and her family. I was there for the summer to act as a “nanny” for my four younger cousins and to improve my French, if possible! I was happy to be going, but the crush I had on a boy in my class was pretty powerful, and although he said he’d miss me, I had my doubts.

Well spoken Linguist,I would just add that love isn’t passive,it has to be worked with and nurtured on a daily basis if it is to survive over time.

Love is a short term mental condition usually lasting about 18 months.

Actually, @redbaron38, this is a Halter Top and not a bikini. These have been really popular (intermittently) over time. Possibly alluring, but also practical on a hot day.
