I had a lot of fun making up ads and slogans. Perhaps I would have done that for real had I remained in commercial art and advertising. Names of cereals, beauty products and cleaning agents were fun to dream up, and now and then I’d laugh out loud when I inked the drawings. Interestingly, some of the real ads for real products today, often sound like satire. Maybe there are too many products and not enough names to go around!
There have been story arcs where Michael wonders why government-run msndatory school (a.k.a. public school) is such drudgery, as opposed to shows like Happy Days, High School Musical and Saved by the Bell, which portray it as a colorful place full of happy kids and little academic work.
Once again I was flagged and my comment removed. In this instance, it was because I pointed out that in the final panel naked Lizzie and Michael were using a gesture to cover their breasts instead of a gesture to show they were trying to keep warm. I expect it was more because the artist was thinking of how a grown woman like herself would react in such a situation instead of how a kid would react, who probably wouldn’t cover themselves at all. Nevertheless, people got very upset by the observation and called me a lot of names and that’s what usually happens before my comments are removed.

So they think they are “helping” mom by getting dirty so she can have a party when she washes.

Colorist error: P4 says (TV screen) pants in P3 should be white. Hard to tell if they had any color when this was originally published:
