Yes, Mike. That is what your mother looks like when she is happy. And what makes Elly happy? The idea that soon she will not have to be around Mike all day.

H sure made a mess with that over reaction.Good thing it is only the females. There are ways of keeping them away. Also special traps that will attract them.

This is Northern Ontario. I need not say more.

In Florida, most of us have a screened-in lanai ….with pool, BBQ and sometimes a fire pit. No bugs. (No snakes, alligators, birds or frogs either). Love the screens….the new ones are “panoramic”, so you don’t see the support structures.

I do not think the joke would work with my family. I was homeschooled.

What more reason do you need to love autumn?

I know I’m waiting for opening day here. Unlike me when I was a kid, my grandchildren have no plans for what to do when they get up so they wrangle over charger cables for their boards, eat their parents out of food and generally do nothing fun – ‘fun’ being my definition of the stuff I once did.

I appear to be the only one whose thoughts went in a totally different direction when I read this strip. All that occurred to me was to wonder how Michael would feel if Oobleck started falling from the sky.

Do Americans get the “Most Wonderful Time of the Year” back-to-school commercials (Staples.ca) on TV too?

Seriously, he’s like 9 years old and he just said the f-word in front of his mom without punishment? Or does *@! mean “damn”? Even still, there’s no way those goody-goodies would let him get away with that, especially in 1986 or whenever this takes place. I call b%##$&@+!
