Tiring work, ain’t it? (What’s the next holiday to which Canadians look forward aside from Chanukah and Christmas? Their Thanksgiving is in early October.)
After yesterday’s drama, April is wearing the costume that Elly made. It makes me think that those who said April was pitching a fit because she was overtired were correct.
When I was in seventh grade, I decided I was too old to go out anymore. I helped out by taking some of my younger siblings around. Even though I wasn’t in costume or carrying a bag, some people would insist on giving me candy anyway in spite of protests. So I had pockets filled with candy.
You know, when I was a kid and went trick-or-treating (yeah, I know. Old argument) Trick-or-treat was on HALLOWEEN, no matter WHAT day it was on – October 31st, and started around 5pm, or when it got dark, and lasted about 90 minutes. Everyone knew it, understood it, and followed it. Now, in 2021, everybody has different times and days. Just like everything else in 2021 – it’s all messed up. Different days – times – and yes, heated arguments among all the moms.

Typical Elly strikes again. She wore out poor April by making her do what SHE required, and now the baby girl winds up sleeping through the fun part!

April does look cute, but do you think she’s too young for Halloween? She’s too young to remember anything of it.

Let me guess. Elly stayed at Annie’s doing jello shots?

and to think all that photo taking was pre digital, with film at maybe 34 frames at best, and then a trip to the store to get it processed.

Well, when your legs are only a few inches long, a long way isn’t necessarily a long distance.

Yup! Man that brings back memories of when my oldest was a little boy. He always got worn out by the end of the night.

Ellie, looks like that last one is more for you than for April.
