Dawn’s hair is finally long enough to look good.

Maybe I’m a guy but I wonder why does Dawn’s hair change from having about 25% gray and white streaks in panel 1 to about 80% gray and white in panel 3 to less than 10% white streaks in panel 4? And she isn’t even touching her hair.

…she says as they try on her MOTHER’S make-up without asking. ;-)

Liz, keeping your room tidy won’t keep April out of your stuff.

I see Dawn’s hair is growing out.

Now, she looks like Moe from The Three Stooges.

Elizabeth is resentful that she has to share a room with April. I can understand that… Elizabeth is about 13, April is going on 3… I can imagine if I had my own bedroom for all these years, then my parents have another kid and I’m expected to have them in my space.

    Lynn’s Comments:

When my brother and I were kids, our cousins came to stay for a few weeks. Rob and Josie shared our rooms, and within a few days we were at each other’s throats. Our cousins had gone through all of our stuff and we felt violated. From the cousins’ point of view, they were just looking around. We saw it differently!

Thus, we find the underlying reason mom placed April in the room, a motivating factor.

So Liz’s neatness is the result of involuntary compliance. Kudos to mom’s strategy!

John and Elly either need to move the family to a new house, or they should build an addition onto this one.

That’s how the younger children learn about keeping a neat room and the older ones will remember when they have children of their own.

My brother is 3 1/2 years older than me. My mother used to tell us, that back when she’d pick him up from nursery school, his first words would be, “And what things of mine did he mess up today?”

    We’ve never been close.

Dang! Should have tried putting our younger daughter in with the older one. Oh well, many years too late to try that one.

My sister is 16 month older than me and we shared a bedroom from time I was born up to around age 14-15 and we never real fought over sharing until we around 11 or so and when we hit our teens Mom and Dad realized we needed our own rooms so they slept on the sofa bed downstairs so my sister and I could have our own room and from then on we always lived where there were 3 bedrooms. I think if we would have continued sharing a room we probably would have killed each other or lose our voices from fighting and yelling so much at each other.
