Know of any other Canadian toddlers who don’t wear coats in the winter?

Why didn’t Elizabeth carry April’s coat with her?

I may be a heartless female dog, but I would have let her be cold and wouldn’t give her my jacket so she would learn a lesson. The other choice would be to carry the jacket and when she started shivering give it to her to put on with a big “I TOLD YOU SO! So next time you better not argue.”

Liz learns a lesson the hard way. Bring her little coat next time if you know she will get cold. Don’t let the child make the final decision. April doesn’t know any better. Just let them have their way for a bit and they will learn from the experience, and will NOT reject the coat next time.

Hey Anthony, if some people say you are secretly following Liz, here’s your chance to score some brownie points. Your girl looks cold. Take off you man’s jacket and put it around her shoulders!

Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. Kids and dogs don’t get to win the argument.

Below a certain age, children can’t imagine that conditions in the future aren’t the same as the present. Let them go outside for a few minutes. They’ll want the jacket.

I realize she’s a character drawn a certain way…but that little kid is not very likeable.

Behaves just like the kid that used to live next door to me. Scream-a-thon every single day. She wasn’t non-verbal, just a brat. Took after her mother who pretty much screamed her head off every day, too.

I think Liz didn’t think to take April’s jacket because she seems to need to get somewhere, and time has already been wasted fighting with the little brat. I know it’s a comic. But I guess I can’t really relate to suffering because a brat got her way. My 8 siblings and I, and my friends and cousins, never got away with nonsense like this. If somebody put your coat on, you left it on. Screaming wasn’t an option, and even if you screamed, whatever you were supposed to do got done. I’m just old and don’t understand, I guess.
