April is emulating the start of my career. Wooden spoons on my mom’s pots and pans.

Is April a ‘normal’ child?

There might be noise, but it’s not quarreling or pleading, at least.

I like John’s second question, “So it’s just the 3 of us?” I presume that a professional dentist who spent many years studying in medical school would consider that a rhetorical question, Elly. No need for you to answer. Or, maybe not. Farley is still there in the house?

Oh John, just wait until there are no kids in the house. It is not only quiet, it is orderly and when we want to up and do something we just go do it.

What about the one where John wanted a Michael-free summer, so Michael and Elizabeth got enrolled in a summer camp? This was in the B.A. era. (Before April!)

April is enjoying herself, isn’t she?

All that racket just means she’s present and accounted for. Silence isn’t golden. It’s dreadful.

Now that Elly lost her job, she might have to consider selling Elizabeth.

They are now the Paupersons.

Having only had one child to raise, I never did have the extra noise that siblings might have produced. However, my brother had 9 kids and visiting them was pandemonium.

That’s enough salad to feed a regiment of kids

The duck toy now has 4 wheels. I think someone must have talked to Lynn Johnston after its last appearance with 2 wheels and explained how balance works.
