When I moved to suburban Philadelphia from worthless Wilkes-Barré for economic reasons, I’d expected milder winters. Thirty years later, we’ve have two snowless winters and nearly snowless winters in the 2020’s thanks to global warming. One winter I brought up the shovels, and it was April before I realized I’d never used them.

Wait until the she’s old enough to want a “car now” …. about the day before her 16th birthday!

What is going on with John’s feet? I know he must be wearing socks, but they look weird.

Why does it look like dad has hooves?!?

That expression on his face is a realization if he wears his rubbers to bed how can Elly refuse to snow for him

I was born in 1951 in Maine, 13 miles from Portland. Boy, do I remember the winters.

Rushed to put on all my new ski gear yesterday. Thought I saw a snowflake…

None of my children or grandchildren ever said “gots.” Or any of the other allegedly cute malapropisms April says. If parents and siblings speak properly to tots they too will speak properly.

It snowed in Hobart city (fairly unusual) on the day that I had my medical assessment for Vietnam conscription. I took this to be a bad omen. It was.
