Jason: It's a fairly common practice in the industry. For example, MacOS 8 had the code name "Tempo" and the new version of Windows had the code name "Memphis." Similarly, Jasondows 98 had its own low-profile alias. Peter: You mean all those times you had Mom interrupt my computer games so you could work on- Jason: "Homework." You got it.
