Jason: Can we use the TV? Peter: Not now. I'm watching the Giants play. Jason: What kind of giants? Fire giants? Storm giants? Earth giants? Are they full giants, or just half giants like Hagrid? Do they yell "fee-fi-fo-fum"? Can they really smell blood and discern its nationality? Who are all the little humans in football uniforms? Do the giants come out and grind their bones? Does the FCC allow that to be televised? Marcus: He cleared out after only 20 seconds. Is that a record? Jason: Almost. There was a Titans game last year where I asked my Cronus and Hyperion weren't playing.

I was wondering if Peter was watching New York football, San Francisco baseball or Yomiuri (Japan) baseball.
Allen Rymer about 11 years ago
probably Football. That’s why he left…..

That’s a good one, Al.Assuming this was a current comic, which I guess I shouldn’t have, (even the TV set shows hints of being a big old tube in a box) I assumed Peter had football on, since it’s Sunday and the SF Giants aren’t in a division or pennant run. Afraid I never followed any Japanese baseball.

This should be more up Jason’s ally…

giants this year so far suck. eli must have upset his whole o-line. he gets sacked quite a lot.

Too bad Attack on Titan wasn’t around at the time. Jason would have been asking why the guard squadrons are using that bulky padding instead of their 3D manoeuvring gear. It’s not gonna be very useful to cut out their necks.

Just a rerun… I thought Sunday Foxtrots were supposed to be new?
wschott about 11 years ago
He needs to watch the Packers, it would render Jason’s comment powerless.

A Sunday rerun from September 2010. This is the first time Fox Trot went to Sunday reruns since it was cut back to Sundays in January 2007.

What I don’t get is why we have Sunday reruns, I mean he now only has to do one once a week?

One of these days, Peter is gonna pin Jason to the couch and make him watch hours upon HOURS of football footage until he goes insane.
Allen Rymer about 11 years ago
Very Good! he is also the head of the Titans and the father of 6 Greek gods. Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, Cronus, Thea, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. In addition, some of these Titans produced other Titans, Astria, Astraea, Astraeus, Atlas, Eos, Eosphorus, Epimetheus, Helius, Leto, Menoetius, Pallas, Perses, Prometheus, Selene. Depending on your sources these are more or less the Titans.

In the 1970s in the Seattle area, we got Oakland’s KTVU on our cable systems, before they replaced it with WTBS. My dad was actually a fan of their cheesy kid’s show host Captain Satellite. However, one day the show was going to be preempted by a “Giant Space Ball,” and my dad was excited to see this science fiction special. He tuned in and saw instead a baseball game. KTVU had the local contract for Giant’s baseball, and my dad has selective hearing.

I would watch just about any sport if the Party Ponies were playing.

That’s Chronos. Cronus is the Titan who fathered Zeus and several other Olympian gods.

The real reason we’re being treated to a rerun today.

I’ve never heard of Matt Inman or “The Oatmeal” before and here they are being linked to in two successive strips! (Pooch Cafe precedes Foxtrot in my lineup)

He didn’t miss much by not watching the Giants game.

In the Prince Street Players’ 1960s version of “Jack and the Beanstalk”, the Giant claimed to have invented baseball, for which a team was named in his honor.

I’m trying to figure out a place where the Giants and the Titans both would have their games broadcast.
