Imperial Stormtroopers, on the other hand, would all have lifetime batting averages of .000.

I was wondering the same thing as rcoaster. There is a sticker on the windshield in reverse print, like maybe a toll-booth pass. It seems to read “Willot.”

I just discovered that panel 3 indicates that the “Willot” sticker is on the rear window, not the windshield. So it isn’t a toll booth pass after all.

    Gooickypedia has the answer:

Roger has also stated that he majored in English studies13 at the fictional Willot College.14Reference 14 is: Amend, Bill (1990). FoxTrot: The Works (p. 70). Kansas City: Andrews McMeel Publishing. ISBN 0-8362-1848-5. So it refers to a strip that was published in the first three years of FoxTrot. Unfortunately, the archive here at GoComics starts on 1996, so we can’t go spelunking for it.

Of course, American League pitchers DO have to bat when they are playing against National League teams in National League stadiums.
