You would think that Andy would realize how much money she’s wasting making food her family won’t eat.

Andy’s gotta be the worst cook. Hope Paige will find somebody to take her under wing to teach her how to cook properly.

That woman is just sick

There was a time my Dad had ulcers. Mom cooked for him but we all ate the same food. As a kid I had to eat some pretty bland soups and mushy veggies for awhile.

With the popularization and commercialization of plant-based food and the very wide range of frankly delicious options available, sad to say, this trope is not aging well…

Probably a welcome change from tuna-casserole and fried bologna….

I know this whole thing is a joke but I think one approach I would take if I were Andi’s family is to realize she will always be committed to cooking vegetarian meals but might be persuaded to learn to make something more palatable. Say, give her a birthday gift of a really good vegetarian cookbook or, better and a little more diplomatic, a paid for, fun cooking course with some well known vegetarian chef.

Do you know how hard it is to come up with a new kale/tofu/eggplant recipe Every. Single. Night?

How do the kids survive, never getting to eat?

In the last panel I first read it as BEETLELOAF – then I realized, right, she’s a vegetarian – beetloaf. :-)

Andy, I’d tell you to take your vegetarian meatload down to a homeless shelter, but I think the vagrants would rather starve!

I think CPS would have something to say to Andy.
