With all that knowledge Jason allegedly demonstrated in a previous comic, I thought he would have calculated that the gravity would create a force greater than the rubberbands could resist.

I guess mathematical knowledge doesn’t equate to having brains, or at least common sense. Hmm.

… and here I was worried about the pain Jason is in - a face full of dirt and 500 rubberbands snapping him in the a$$ …

It doesn’t matter how intelligent you are as a kid ,if it looks like a good idea you’ll do it anyway .

No matter how much planning is put into a bungee, you wouldn’t get me to try it. Not because it might break, but with my body and all of the aches and pains I get whenever I lift or twist “the wrong way”, that final jerk of the bungee would have me sitting in my hot tub trying to coax these old bones into some semblance of normalcy.

cleo - I can relate! Now that I’m almost 50, I find my body can’t tolerate what I used to do with it years ago. My hubby & I used to love roller coasters, but now that our sons are tall enough to go on the fun ones, if we go with them, we’re in too much pain afterwards.

If he twisted them into a rope, then it might work. But Jason is a true scientist: he follows trial and error.
