Coach: Fox, as you'll recall, last year I moved you around quite a bit. I started you at second base, then moved you to left field, then center. Then right, then back to the infield, then back to the outfield... Well, this year, son, I want to keep you in one spot for the whole season. Peter: Sounds good to me, coach, where?

Give Peter a chance. He might have improved since last year.

“He might have improved since last year”? This year has already seen BroomHilda get a date (from a mafioso, true, but still). How many times can Hell freeze over before they start wondering what’s going on up here?

(psst, all kidding aside, Peter, I know how you feel…)

Me too Johanan. I can’t hit the broad side of the barn. However, I could always run like the wind. A friend would hit the ball and I’d run like the devil was chasing me.

I wouldn’t feel too sorry for him. There are plenty of designated bench warmers in the majors who make a million + $$$ evey year. I’d take the job in a heartbeat.

JOHANAN I hear they are getting ready for a cold snap down there when the Sox or the Cubs take the Series.

Hell freezes quite a lot lately. Buggy Crispino has shown up in Ruthie’s house and the Astros are now 1 and 8.

It’s Peter’s best position. (Mine too, when I was “playing.”)

the one year i played in an “official” league, i was a catcher - that way, when i missed catching the ball (as i inevitably did since i had no depth perception) it would only go about 10 feet before it stopped and i could retrieve it rather easily.

i think our coach got the idea from how Bob Uecker used to catch the knuckle ball.

Hell really froze when Farve joined the Vikings

Peter is playing left outfield (he’s been left out of the field).
During football season, he was asked to play end, guard and tackle. Sit on the end of the bench, guard the water bucket and tackle anyone who gets near it.
