Appears that the cafeteria makes too many meatballs… or there isn’t much demand for them…

What’s funny is, our middle school just put in a request for new walk-in refrigerators because their current ones are over 50 years old and barely kept functioning with duct tape.

School board, of course, thought they could do without.

I remember the elementary school I went to served cutlets on Monday, hamburger patties on Tuesday, meatballs on Wednesday, and chili on Thursday. Interesting pattern, I think. Of course fish was served every Friday.

I buy a big bag of frozen Italian style meatballs and throw into everything, spaghetti, soup, meatballs subs, macaroni and cheese. Quick and easy!

twypsi I never thought of meatballs in macaroni and cheese. I think schools make sure there are no left overs and serve something different from a planned menu. I know this is a comic strip suppose to be funny but this isn’t.

Maybe school cafeterias are where old army cooks fade away.

I always liked our cafeteria food in public and private school. Our Catholic school served REALLY good meals wlhen I went. there. When I was a volunteer mom in the same Catholic grade school cafeteria, a lot had changed but the meals were still good.
