What dessert? Tofu with Splenda on it? While I know it’s played for laughs, I think Andy is one of the worst mothers in the comic world, rivaled only by Elly from FBofW who isn’t supposed to be a parody and Diane from Curtis who isn’t even funny, just nasty and foul. The grandparents from Freshly Squeezed are doing their best to get to the top of the list.
I don’t blame Andy for wanting her kids to eat healthy, but ALWAYS trying to feed them stuff like tofu, soybeans, etc. 24/7 isn’t the best idea. Not everyone can be a vegetarian.
Y’all seem to be missing her strategy. She fixes these unappetizing meals all the time in hopes that her kids will get used to begging meals from friends all the time. After a while, she can cut her grocery bill down to that of a single person and buy herself goodies because the kids & Roger will be trained to avoid the fridge. cupboard and grocery bags.

Cruel and unusual punishment is against your kid’s rights Andy. Mac and cheese will save you from scorn.

I don’t get it. “Voted off the table”?

I think it’s a reference to one of those reality tv game shows where a contestant is voted out of the game at the end of the show.

Notice that Roger isn’t there. He’s stopping off at McDonald’s on the way home from work.

It’s time for the kids to learn how to cook. That way they can eat real food.
