Andy: Dare I ask how your homeade wine is coming along? Roger: Pretty well. I just finished bottling it. Andy: Who made the labels? Roger: Jason, aren't they great? I guess in honor of my little rogue winery, he gave them this wonderful pirate motif. Andy: I suppose that's one way to interpret the big skull and crossbones. Roger: Remind me to say something like "AARGH!" when I drink it.

I think you’ll be saying worse than that, Roger.

the way the ingredients have been put together, “AAARRRGH” is likely the least of what Roger will say when he drinks it.

Roger, perhaps you should use Lydia E Pinkhams’ formula instead. Gran says it the best.

I remember those halcyon days when my parents were into making their own wine at home. It all stopped after the exploding kitchen incident, but we don’t need to go into that right now.

I wouldn’t want my last words to be what Roger’s will be.

My parents somehow ignored the horrid stench coming from our basement when I was a teen. Guess they knew I’d make my own punishment.

Drinking that stuff is a BAD idea, and I don’t even touch the stuff.

Does the skull include the lower jaw. If it does, which gives the skull a smile, then it means Pirate. If it doesn’t, which gives the skull a frown, it means Poison.

And just how long was it allowed to ferment and age?
2001 a good vintage – that’s 2001 hours or 8:01 PM.
Where did I put my Mr. Yuck stickers?

That shouldn’t be a problem.

Kids thinking the skull meant a pirate drink was the reason poisons now sport “Mr. Yucky” face.

Many years ago, I entered a local homebrew competition, held on a Saturday. As they were handing me the blue ribbon in the Dry Fruit Wine category, they asked when I bottled it (interested in how long it had been aged.)
My truthful response was “Tuesday”.
Now, if they had asked how long it had been in the cask….

Roger would be more Jolly if he aged it in a cask – OR – Roger just might end up in a cask(et).

I see you’ve been reading “The Cask of Amontillado” too, Night-Gaunt!
