Actually, pagers are still being used in businesses and such. While cell phones are the most popular, and still take over, some occupations still use pagers.

I remember getting a little PDA from a Honeycomb box when I was 12. Alarm clock, notepad, calendar-years before I got my first smartphone. I have no need to simply schedule for a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Strawberry Cheesecake, I’ll just go and get one.
