Growing up in the 70’s, we moved into our first house and it had carpeting in the bathroom. As a kid, I didn’t think anything about it, and thought it was nice not having a cold floor in the winter.

Our first apartment had carpeting in the bathroom…and a leaky radiator. Walking into the bathroom in the middle of the night was a wet, squishy, cold experience. After a while my father helped us rip it out and replace it with some extra flooring from my parent’s renovation. I swore I’d NEVER have carpeting in any bathroom I ever had again.
