I find it interesting people on Yahoo! Answers asking for either ideas for or opinions of back-to-school outfits without thinking if it complies to the school’s dress code as stated in the student manuals. Same thing when reading news stories about prom dresses or graduation outfits.
Our local school systems use simple uniforms for all public school students: pullover knit shirts and khaki/ navy blue pants, skirts or bermuda shorts.
My older daughter’s Godmother took the girls out for their annual Back To School Shopping Day. My younger daughter surprised me by picking a simple black dress for the first day. When I asked her why, she said, “Because it’s cute and comfortable.” It IS adorable, with a “flirty” (yet school-appropriate length) skirt.

Ah, how times have changed – so rapidly. Today, Paige’s outfit is banned in our school district.

I’ve been out of school over 50 years, and I still find the term “back to school”…I don’t want to say “depressing,” that is too far…a bummer.

A rash suggestion. He probably has one in a jar.

Don’t they have any bullies in the school Jason goes to? That brain hat would qualify as a bully magnet in the school I went to.
